Compare an untouched supported native Shopify product CSV with its edited copy. The rule is: increase every variant's ordinary Price by your chosen percentage and change nothing else. This is a supplied-file comparison, not an import tool or safe-import guarantee.

START
At an approved hosted trial page, choose Open the checker. Select your untouched original and edited CSV, enter Increase (%), and choose Compare files. This local release preview is not yet publicly hosted.

The download contains the same self-contained reviewed price-intent-checker.html and this guide. Extract the ZIP before opening the HTML in a browser with BigInt and TextDecoder support. Direct file opening, native OS picker interaction and cross-browser/mobile compatibility remain unverified; the reviewed browser evidence used a loopback HTTP origin. A hosted run is the proposed primary path, subject to deployment verification. No installation or server is required by the HTML itself.

RULE AND RESULTS
Enter 0–100 inclusive with at most two decimal places; default 7. No signs, spaces, exponents or leading zeros. Exact integer arithmetic rounds expected prices HALF UP to cents. Only ordinary Price is the target; compare-at price, market prices, cost and other recognized fields must remain unchanged.

Match means only these files match the declared rule within supported scope. Differences need review. Unsupported means reliable comparison could not be completed; stop rather than treating it as a pass. Missing variants do not predict store deletions. The tool cannot establish export authenticity, omitted store data or import outcomes.

SUPPORTED INPUT
Reviewed current-native header spelling: URL handle, Title, Option1 name, Option1 value and Price are required. Older Handle / Variant Price headers are not supported. Unknown headers, linked option values and undocumented unit-price columns are unsupported. UTF-8 with optional BOM; comma separation; LF or CRLF; quoted commas/newlines and doubled quotes. Per file: 2 MiB, 5,000 data records, 100 columns. Up to 500 findings; hitting the cap makes comparison incomplete. The screen shows the first 200 price rows; export includes all.

Identity is exact handle plus up to three option names/values; SKU is not a unique key. Each handle needs exactly one titled product row. Title, Description, Vendor and Tags belong there, with blank continuation cells. Option names may be inherited within a handle. Image-only rows have only handle/image fields and are compared as an unordered multiset. Other matched fields are exact text; whitespace changes can matter. Row/header order, CSV quoting and line endings alone do not count as changes. Prices are nonnegative decimals, at most two decimal places and 12 integer digits. No selective updates, decreases, fuzzy matching, repairs or live-store lookup.

YOUR DATA
The app reads selected files on your device, has no catalog-upload endpoint and never edits source files. Save text report creates a local report with compared prices/findings; keep it private. Clear files releases page-held data; the entered percentage remains. Changing the percentage clears stale results/export. A future host still receives ordinary page requests; files-stay-on-device is not a claim of anonymous browsing.

TRIAL
Planned: up to five merchants already planning supported edits, over seven days. No import is required. Only voluntary completion/usefulness feedback is intended; its channel is pending confirmation. Do not send catalog files, screenshots, credentials, report contents or customer data. There is no checkout, store login or per-comparison AI service. Independent scoped software tests passed; merchant usefulness and demand are unknown. No sales-readiness or earnings claim is made.

The executable retains its reviewed Price change / Intent checker title and Private prototype label. Price Change Check is a descriptive working title, not a trademark-clearance claim.
